Wrong way
Your brain is made up of millions of pathways.
Imagine it like this: You are going to visit grandma. You use the same freeway and the same exits off the freeway to get to her house. You’ll also use the same turns and stop signs til you get there. Are you picturing it?
But then imagine, one day, there was construction going on because they are breaking the road up. You now have to use an alternate route.
This route takes longer. You have to go around the mountain and on dirt roads. It got very frustrating.
This is what happens to a broken brain.
A TBI, a virus or a concussion can break up pathways.
Things can seem easy and seamless and the next second you are frustrated and angry.
Your brain is the control center of your body. Here is a list of things that your brain controls:
It controls your thinking
Your memory
Your concentration
Your problem solving
Your emotions
Your touch
Your motor skills
Your coordination
Your vision
Your breathing
Your taste
Your smell
Your speech
The temperature of your body
Your hunger and thirst
And every other process that regulates your body.
We can’t function without our brain.
There is so much that we can do to have a healthy brain.
Coming soon will be a post on how you can strengthen your brain.
As always, you are not alone! Reach out with any questions!
